Hi friends! Hope you all had a nice weekend!... Ours was kind of a whirlwind that I'm having trouble remembering everything that happened!... Do you guys ever get that way?
On Saturday morning, I went to one of my favorite places, Whole Foods, and stocked up on a bunch of goodies to make baby food...
{It wasn't until I got home & was looking in one of my baby cookbooks that I found out you shouldn't give them pineapple cause it might upset their tummies}... But hubs loves pineapple so that ended up being his... :)
I had planned on spending the afternoon making baby food and doing laundry, but for some reason it didn't quite work out that way?!... I did eventually put one load of laundry in but the rest of the afternoon is kind of a blur?? I do know a Saturday afternoon BLT made it into the mix, I stopped by Tuesday Morning and found this adorable hula outfit for baby girl & I did my nails, but that's really all I can remember of that afternoon!...
Saturday evening was BIG though {well for us anyway}!... Since tomorrow is Jeremy's birthday, I surprised him and lined up a babysitter so we could go out to dinner- baby free! This was the 1st time we have ever left sweet baby girl with someone other than my mother-in-law!... I was a nervous wreck since I had never met this girl before (she is the babysitter my sister-in-law Melissa uses) and also because Anniston has been going through separation anxiety with me a little and hadn't napped ALL DAY!... We were only gone for 2 1/2 hours because Anniston has not been taking her bottles well at all the last few times I have been gone so we needed to be back in time for her nigh time feeding but it all worked out great! Hubs and I went to our favorite Mexican restaurant with his brother Chris & his wife Melissa. We had a great time & definitely need to plan more date nights like that in the future!
Sunday morning, we weren't able to go to church because the car we have painstakingly been searching for was being delivered to us sometime between 7:00am-12:00pm... We got the call around 9:30 that the shipper was here & we had to meet her by the interstate because she wouldn't be able to get her tractor trailer in our neighborhood... {those that have been reading my blog, I mentioned that hubs & I have been searching for a new SUV... It has been an excruciating journey because my husband is THE PICKIEST person when it comes to cars! God love 'em! ;)... So much so, that when we FINALLY found a make & model that he was happy with, there were none for sale close to where we live so we had it shipped from Chicago & bought it without even seeing it in person! CRAZY!?}... But here's our new grocery & kid carrier ;) {It's an '06 BMW X5... Sorry for such a bad picture, I took it quickly with my iPhone when we picked it up}...
Then after we all went for a drive, Hubs spent most of the afternoon tinkering & adjusting all the settings... While he was trying to figure out how to set our garage door opener, he left the car on so long that it killed the battery! So he had to jump it off & take it to Auto Zone & ended up buying a new one! Since this car has a lot of bells & whistles to it, the guy at Auto Zone didn't know how to reset everything after he changed the battery so now there are a bunch of indicator lights on! {Geez!}... So we have an appointment tomorrow morning to take it into the BMW dealership to look it over. Hopefully it's just a few things that need resetting & nothing too serious is wrong with it! But until then, she's just sitting in our garage... Hubs doesn't want me & baby girl driving it until we get everything checked out :(
Then later Sunday evening, I FINALLY got around to doing more laundry & making some baby food... I made some applesauce & cantaloupe...
So that was our exciting weekend in a nutshell... well everything I could remember anyway! ;)
